The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, stressed the centrality of the role of the judiciary in building the state, which is considered the just ruling, and called on the judges to be fair between the rights of the state and the rights of citizens, and to be independent and not resigned from your tasks and responsibilities and stay away from the rumors and others.

And when the President of the Republic confirmed that he will be the protector of the judges who defend the law and apply his texts, he invited them not to oppress innocent and not absolve unjust, and he went to the judges, saying: Even if I personally asked you to take a decision contrary to the law, you must enjoy the boldness necessary to refuse the request, because we all have to We are under the ceiling of the law.

The words of President Aoun came during his meeting this afternoon at the Baabda Palace, Chairman of the State Shura Council, Judge Fadi Elias, with a high delegation of judges, which included the government commissioner, Feryal Dalloul, Acting Chamber of Second Chamber Judge Fatima Al -Sayegh, President of the Fourth Chamber Judge Youssef Nasr, President Acting Fifth Chamber Judge Youssef Gemayel and Counselor Judge Abdullah Ahmed.

At the beginning of the meeting, Judge Elias gave a speech in which he said: We came from the state’s Shura Council to congratulate you on the election of you as President of the Republic and to congratulate the Lebanese people on your covenant, from which we hope for all the best and prosperity for our homeland, Lebanon, and we are all confident that your covenants will be fulfilled, God willing, and thanks to the wisdom, integrity, firmness and courage you will be fulfilled The Lebanese people told her in your person since you assumed your national responsibilities in the military establishment, leading to its leadership during difficult and exceptional circumstances that Lebanon has gone through.

He added: We pledge to you that we are as much as your aspirations and covenants related to the independence of the administrative judiciary and its raising, through our commitment to continue to carry out its legally defined tasks in the system of the State Shura Council, whether in terms of judicial or advisory, in order to achieve the stabilization of the states of law and institutions and combat corruption and preserve the rights of the state and citizens.

President Aoun welcomed the delegation, and said: We now have to lead the country to safety and we must build a state, and the main pillar in this context is the fair judgment, and he said: Security and the judiciary are essential, and if security is held, it cannot continue alone without the judiciary. Your role is essential as an administrative judiciary, to be fair between the rights of the state and the rights of citizens, and what I ask of you, is to be self -independent and not independent of your tasks and responsibilities and avoid the rumors and others, so that your work is the ideal response to the campaigns of reaping, based on the law and its texts, especially and that Some of you work as a consultant for some ministries, which requires satisfying the public interest before anything.

He added: There are judges who make decisions based on rumors or according to responses that appear on social media and some media, it is not required to please one of these, but the pronoun in accordance with the law. This is what you must do, especially since you are a fair judgment, and this requires satisfaction with conscience and boldness in making decisions.

President Aoun affirmed that he will be the protector of the judges who walk in this path and those who defend the law and apply his texts, and went to the delegation, saying: Do not oppress innocent and not absolve unjust, no one can satisfy everyone, but at least you must work to satisfy the conscience and self.

During the exchange of conversation with the delegation, President Aoun stressed that even if he personally asked them to take a decision contrary to the law, they must enjoy the boldness necessary to reject the request, because we all have to be under the ceiling of the law.

President Aoun received MP Ahmed Al -Khair, who congratulated him on his election as President of the Republic, and offered with him the general situation and communications underway to form the new government.

The research also touched on the needs of the Minya – Denniyeh and North District at the social and development levels.

The MP Al -Khair explained that he conveyed to President Aoun to the satisfaction of the sons of Minya – Al -Dinniyeh for his election, and their hope that his covenant would be an era of development for all Lebanese regions, especially the northern region.

The President of the Republic met with the Ambassador of Switzerland, Marion Weichelt Krupski, who delivered a congratulatory message for his election from the President of the Swiss Federation, Karen Keeler Souter, and the relations between the two countries and ways of developing them were presented.

Switzerland’s ambassador renewed Switzerland’s commitment to work to support Lebanon to get out of the crises it faces.
