The mayor of Tripoli, Dr. Riyad Yamq and member of the Municipal Council, Dr. Basil Al -Hajj, participated in the work of the sixty -second session, held in the city of Tangier in the Kingdom of Morocco from January 31 to February 3, in the presence of the concerned Moroccan ministers, in addition to the Secretary General of the Arab Cities Organization, Engineer Abdel Rahman Hisham Al -Asfour, mayor of Tangier, Chairman of the Collective Council of Tangier Munir Lamori.

A delegation from the Beirut municipality also participated, which included the head of the municipal council, Abdullah Darwish, and organized the municipal council, Eng. Muhammad Saeed Fattha and Aram Milian. He also attended the city leaders and heads of Arab municipalities, members, and members of the executive council in the organization.

During the session sessions, consultations were made between members, and the achievements were presented during the past year, future plans and the required role of the organization and municipalities.

The delegation of the Tripoli municipality, a representative of Demo and Al -Hajj, held a meeting with Eng. Al -Asfour, where some projects of interest to Tripoli were presented.

At the end of the meeting, he presented the shield of Al -Fayhaa to the Secretary -General.

Mayor of Tangier

Likewise, he met Yamq and Al -Hajj, the mayor of Tangier, Moroccan Munir Limori, in advance of his thanks for the good hospitality and reception, and ways of cooperation and exchange of experiences were presented.

He presented the shield of Al -Fayhaa to the mayor Lamori, and Limuri also presented a shield to the president.

The Trabelsi delegation visited the city’s port to view, the movement’s development and the possibility of cooperation with Tripoli.

Governor of Jerusalem

The mayor of Tripoli also met Dr. Yamq, on the sidelines of the session, the governor of Jerusalem, Adnan Ghaith, and listened to a detailed presentation of the conditions of the city of Jerusalem and the conditions of its people in light of the continuous Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and the occupied territories.

In conclusion, Ghaith presented a shield to the president, who carries the map of Palestine, the Mistress of the Al -Aqsa Mosque, and the flag of the State of Palestine.
