Oil prices jumped today, Monday, after US President Donald Trump imposed customs duties on Canada, Mexico and China, which raises fears of a trade war and crude supply disorder from two senior suppliers of the United States.

However, the expectations for the decrease in the fuel demand limited to the gains and by 00:42 GMT, the US West Texas Crude rose 2% or $ 1.44 to 73.97 dollars a barrel, after it reached the highest level in a week for $ 75.18 earlier in the session.

Brent crude futures increased 0.8% or 62 cents to $ 77.34 a barrel.
