We waste time with Macron

Algerian President Abdel Majid Taboun said that “relations with France have become poisonous, and we waste our time with President Macron,” noting that “the ball is now in the Elysee Stadium, so that we do not reach the point of no return that is difficult to reform.”

In an interview with the French newspaper “Lubinion”, the Algerian presidency published some of his excerpts on Sunday evening, Taboun accused the French Interior Minister, Bruno Rotayo, of trying to strike a political blow to Algeria by trying to expel an influential Algerian activist.

Taboun also said: “France is chasing Algerian activists on social media and provides protection for criminals and saboteurs by granting them citizenship and the right to asylum,” stressing that France is responsible for dealing with the extremist cases that appeared on its soil.

Taboun also stressed that the Algerian-French writer Boualam Sakasal, who is being held in Algeria because of his skepticism in the unity of national lands, represents a “problem for those who made it, and we have not heard from him after all the details”, referring to the extreme right in France.
