US President Donald Trump did not claim any doubt, when last Friday assured reporters in a meeting at the Oval Office, that he would definitely impose customs duties on the European Union in the future, it came. This is one day before the imposition of fees on China, Mexico and Canada.

Trump explained his step that the European Union treated them in a “very terrible” way, according to his speech, in which he preferred to be honest to be a diplomat.

The European Union exports to the United States witnessed remarkable growth over the past 15 years, as the union’s exports to the rest of the world increased from 15% in 2010 to more than 20% in 2023, according to a report by “Caixabank”.
