On Sunday, a technical failure has caused dozens of flights in the United States as well as hundreds of other flights.

The US Department of Transport has warned the transportation of the possibility of remaining delays in flights across the United States, as a result of the failure of the FBA air warning system on Saturday evening, according to CNN.

The US Minister of Transport, Sean Duffy, said on the X platform that the statute of pilots’ notifications (Notam) was subjected to a temporary interruption, but stressed that the national airspace was not directly affected, due to the activation of a reserve system that ensures the continuation of air operations.

Davi added: “The Federal Aviation Administration is working to restore the entire system, and we may witness some remaining delays tomorrow morning. We are investigating the cause of holidays and we will make updates later. ”

The NOMAM is a vital digital tool that sends warnings to the pilots about any conditions that may affect the safety of flights, such as:

Lighting in aircraft running.
Safety signals stop in airport towers.
The presence of air activities such as air shows in the near air field.
Although it is not part of the air traffic control system responsible for regulating distances between aircraft, it is considered an essential element to ensure air safety.

This was not the first of its kind, as the regime witnessed a similar interruption in January 2024 that led to a temporary stop of all flights in the United States.
