Lebanon today »The decrease in the value of the Iranian Toman in Sulaimaniyah

The value of the Iranian Tuman, which fell under the weight of US sanctions and political and economic crises in Tehran.

Despite the repeated alerts of observers on the dangers of continuing to deal with the Iranian currency, the exchange market, especially in the city of Sulaymaniyah, is still witnessing severe fluctuations.

During December, the exchange rate exceeded the barrier of 85,000 Tuman per US dollar, in one of the worst waves of decline in the Iranian currency, leaving the dealers in a state of anticipation between the loss and the bet on a recovery that may not come.

Delir Hussein, one of the dealers of the “Tuman”, says that the continuous decline in the value of the Iranian currency has greatly harmed the merchants and speculators in this currency, and that the losses of some exceeded 40 thousand dollars within weeks.

Hussein added that the exchange market in Sulaymaniyah is one of the largest outlets for buying and selling Iranian Toman in Iraq. (Free)
