The Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Al -Hajj Hassan, launched the process of distributing the farmer’s card to the farmers registered in the southern governorate, in the city of Tire, in the presence of the deputies: Anyah Ezzeddine, Michel Moussa, Ali Khreis, Ashraf Baydoun, Hassan Ezz El -Din, Hussein Al -Jish And the organizational official of the Amal Movement in the Jabal Amel region, Engineer Ali Ismail, in an important step to support the agricultural sector and enhance communication between the Ministry of Agriculture and farmers in Lebanon.








This event aims to enhance the partnership between the ministry and farmers in various regions and achieve a sustainable agricultural renaissance.

Haj Hassan opened his speech by saluting the souls of the martyrs, then he talked about the importance of the farmers’ record as a tool to document their numbers and preserve their rights to compensation, noting that the number of farmers registered in the south does not exceed 3% of the total registered in Lebanon.

He also pointed to the launch of the questionnaire, which received 8260 registered after the Israeli aggression, and that the necessity of multiplied these numbers to ensure effective support for farmers, stressing that the ministry will continue to support the southern farmers, especially in the recovery phase after the Israeli aggression, declaring that the south will always be the focus of national interest .

The meeting included interventions from the deputies who stressed the importance of the role of the Ministry of Agriculture in developing the economy of Lebanon. (National Agency)
