The governor of the North, Judge Ramzi, chaired a meeting in the Tripoli Brigades, to discuss the crisis of cracked buildings in the city and its surroundings, in the presence of local and international officials.

The meeting discussed ways to address this crisis, which is a direct threat to the safety of the population.

Nahra pointed to the need to cooperate between the concerned authorities, especially the municipalities, to develop an emergency plan that includes the inventory of the most dangerous buildings and the provision of temporary alternative housing for its residents. The importance of securing the necessary financing was also emphasized to repair damaged buildings, whether from owners or through supporting municipalities and international organizations.

It was agreed on a set of recommendations, most notably: updating the database of cracked buildings, evacuating the fall buildings, and securing temporary housing or shelter for affected citizens. The meeting also called on the Council of Ministers to provide the necessary funding to support municipalities in reinforcement and restoration operations, with a portion of international aid to address this crisis.

In conclusion, the participants stressed the need to take urgent measures to avoid the continued danger to the lives of citizens.
