Before heading to Syria, the mother of the missing American journalist meets Major General Abbas Ibrahim

Debra Tice, the mother of American journalist Austin Tice who has been missing in Syria for 12 years, visited Major General Abbas Ibrahim before heading to Syria to follow up on her son’s case with the new Syrian administration, noting that Austin is a journalist and former member of the US Marine Corps.

Debra thanked Ibrahim for his continuous efforts over the past years to uncover Austin’s fate, especially during the first term of US President Donald Trump.

For his part, Ibrahim wished her success, considering that the Austin case is not just a family issue, but has become a symbol of human suffering that should not be absent from the conscience of the world. (National News Agency)
