President Aoun received more congratulatory telegrams on his election
President of the Republic of Armenia
In his telegram, President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagen Khachaturian, congratulated President Aoun on his election, and expressed the importance that Armenia attaches to strengthening relations with Lebanon based on the foundations of historical friendship between the two countries, mutual respect and commonalities.
President of the Republic of Italy
He also telegraphed his congratulations to the President of the Republic of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, who stressed that Lebanon can always count on Italy’s steadfast support, including through UNIFIL, to preserve its sovereignty, stability and territorial integrity. He expressed his confidence that Lebanon, during President Aoun’s era, will confirm its position as a space for coexistence and pluralism, which is necessary in a region that has suffered from violence and unrest in recent years.
President of the Republic of Bulgaria
President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Roman Radev, in turn, congratulated President Aoun, stressing his conviction that during his reign, Lebanon will overcome the challenges and difficulties faced by the Lebanese people, and its sovereignty and the unity of its people will be strengthened.
President of the Republic of Finland
President Aoun received a congratulatory telegram from the President of the Republic of Finland, Alexander Stubb, in which he wished him success in facing the current challenges, stressing his country’s commitment to supporting Lebanon’s efforts to achieve political stability and development, and noting the support that Finland provides in this regard, through its participation in the UNIFIL forces.
President of the Slovak Republic
The President of the Republic also received a congratulatory telegram from Slovak President Peter Pellegrini, in which he affirmed his confidence that the President of the Republic, in cooperation with the government and the people, will be able to overcome the challenges facing the country and achieve security and stability in it.
Acting President of the Republic of Korea
President Aoun also received congratulations on his election from Acting President of the Republic of Korea, Choi Sang-mook, which stated, “I am confident that Lebanon will continue, under your esteemed and comprehensive leadership, its path toward unity and progress, based on political stability.”
He also telegraphed to President Aoun congratulating the Kuwaiti Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and the Kuwaiti Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
Congratulations to the preacher
President Aoun called the athlete Fadi Al-Khatib, the former star of the Lebanese basketball team, congratulating him on his selection by the International Basketball Federation among the list of nine candidates for the FIBA (International Basketball Federation) Hall of Fame for the year 2025.
While President Aoun praised the achievements of Al-Khatib, who was a key player in the Lebanese national team for many years, and participated in successive World Cup and Asian Cup tournaments, he considered that many young athletes consider him an example and a role model in the sporting and competitive spirit that illuminates Lebanon’s name throughout the world.
