Ayoub: These are the goals of Macron’s visit

Representative Ghada Ayoub confirmed that no secret word had been received regarding the nomination of the president-designate to form the government, Nawaf Salam, pointing out that “Salam is known for his integrity, justice, and morals, and is able to keep up with the speech of his oath.”

In an interview with LBCI, Ayoub said that “building a state does not threaten any component and does not lead to the exclusion of anyone,” noting that “if the state’s discourse scares some people, then that is their problem.”

She believed that the Amal-Hezbollah duo attempted to blackmail to obtain some gains with the aim of saving face.

She said: “There is a real wave of change towards building the state and the Shiite sect, which is not targeted, but rather the concept of imposition and superiority that was prevalent.”

She added: “I do not see that things are heading towards a crisis, but rather towards a quick formation and a ministerial statement that does not include a blocking third or the equation of the people, the army and the resistance.”

She continued: “It has been proven that organized and politically motivated parties made the change that led to the appointment of the President of the Republic and the President-designate.”

Ayoub pointed out that “the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron had three goals: supporting the covenant and playing a role with Berri to facilitate the formation of the government and the implementation of Resolution 1701.”
