To direct Total to return to continue oil exploration operations
President Joseph Aoun stressed to French President Emmanuel Macron the importance of establishing the ceasefire and withdrawing Israel from the territories where it is still present within the period agreed upon in the ceasefire agreement.
President Aoun believed that the recent developments in Syria have repercussions on the situation in the Middle East in general and Lebanon in particular, especially in terms of controlling the borders between the two countries, preventing the infiltration of illegal people, and working to return displaced Syrians to their country.
President Aoun asked Macron to instruct Total to return to continue oil exploration operations in offshore oil blocks.
He called for the return of prisoners, as well as the reconstruction of Lebanese villages and regions that were destroyed as a result of the recent Israeli aggression.
