The last attempt.. Netanyahu is trying to obstruct the ceasefire agreement

Today, Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused the Hamas movement of trying to make amendments to the agreement as part of a “final attempt” to evade a basic condition that Israel adheres to regarding the release of prisoners whom Tel Aviv classifies as “symbols of terrorism.”

Netanyahu’s office said in a statement, “The Israeli Prime Minister made a phone call with the negotiation team in Doha and confirmed the rejection of Hamas’ attempts to amend the conditions for the release of some prisoners, after the negotiation team informed him of attempts by the movement to renegotiate the Gaza deal.”

Netanyahu’s office explained that “the movement is demanding the release of Palestinian prisoners who are considered symbols of terrorism, which contradicts an explicit clause that gives Israel the right to veto the release of many prisoners,” according to the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper.

Netanyahu pledged not to accept any concessions and that the negotiating team must insist on adhering to what was agreed upon, and completely reject what he described as “extortion attempts by Hamas.”
