Trump’s inauguration ceremony as president… details of the awaited event
US President-elect Donald is preparing to take office for a second term, at an inauguration ceremony, which will be held next Monday, January 20, in Washington, DC.
This inauguration is considered an exceptional event, as Trump becomes the 47th president of the United States, and the second in the country’s history to hold two non-consecutive terms, after Croover Creveland in the nineteenth century.
Ceremony with flags at half-mast
Unlike Joe Biden’s inauguration four years ago, which was affected by COVID-19 pandemic restrictions and the riot at the Capitol, Trump’s inauguration is expected to return to its full glory.
However, flags will remain at half-mast on the Capitol and federal buildings due to the ongoing official mourning over the death of former President Jimmy Carter.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day
The ceremony coincides with the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, observed annually on the third Monday in January.
The swearing-in ceremony will take place on the West Steps of the Capitol, where Vice President J.D. Vance will take the oath first, followed by Trump, who will take the traditional oath of office under the supervision of the Chief Justice.
Break the protocol
In an unprecedented move, Trump invited a number of world leaders to attend the inauguration, including Chinese President Xi Jinping and Argentine President Javier Milley.
The ceremony will also be attended by prominent figures, such as: Elon Musk and Nigel Farage, along with members of the Trump family and members of Congress.
Festive atmosphere
The inauguration ceremony will witness the performance of the famous American singer Carrie Underwood’s song “America the Beautiful,” an expression of the spirit of unity and aspiration for the future.
The Village People will perform musically; Which adds a distinctive festive touch to the party.
Unprecedented security measures
Amid growing security concerns, the Secret Service and the FBI announced heightened security plans to secure the ceremony, especially after two assassination attempts on Trump last year.
8,000 National Guard soldiers, in addition to thousands of federal agents and police, will be deployed to ensure the safety of the event.
Unity message
Trump is expected to deliver a speech focusing on unity and continuity, calling on Americans to overcome divisions and work together to build a common future.
The day will conclude at the White House with ceremonial tours and attendance at a number of official parties.
Closing ceremony
After being sworn in, former President Joe Biden will leave the White House by helicopter, while Trump and Vice President Trump inspect a military parade on the east steps of the Capitol.
In the evening, Trump will participate in inauguration ceremonies before returning to his official residence. (Erm News)
