The good representative
He received MP Ahmed Al-Khair, who said:
Today’s visit was an occasion to thank Prime Minister Mikati for all his efforts and his great role, especially in the previous stage as a result of the vacuum in the presidency for more than two years and four months. We all know the dangers, pitfalls, and dilemmas that Lebanon went through at this stage, and how President Mikati’s wisdom, diplomacy, vision, and patience were a safety valve for this stage and we were able to continue the country’s journey.
He added: Today we are facing a new era and during the parliamentary consultations we saw, as did President Mikati from morning until noon, that there is a kind of consensus beginning to form around the candidate Nawaf Salam, especially after the Socialist and Free Patriotic Movement blocs announced their adoption. Here we were in continuous and permanent coordination with President Mikati, and everyone knows the relationship that links me to his country, which is not only a political relationship, but a relationship of friendship and brotherhood with President Mikati, and through communication with him, President Mikati’s opinion was clear that we are always on the side of consensus, and we always support the position of the presidency. And the government, and we support everyone who is assigned to this site. Based on this matter, President Mikati’s opinion was that we vote for President Nawaf Salam, and he was insisting that we take this position that you saw. Also, its result or the reflection of its result on some of the other blocs that voted with the white paper, and this is conclusive evidence that this was the approach of the then Prime Minister.
He added: Based on this matter, any figure who is in this site, we will be behind him and support him, along with President Mikati and all former prime ministers. This edifice is for all Lebanese and citizens, but we know that there is a Sunni privacy related to the government palace and who occupies this site. Based on this matter, in my name and in the name of the President, I say that we will be alongside President Nawaf Salam, facilitators and supporters of his political path, and we hope that all parties in the country will be cooperative and facilitators of this new era. We have a president of the republic with a vision and clean palm, and we have a president in charge of forming the government who also has a vision and clean palm. They are both statesmen, and we are children of a state, and we will only be supportive of him.

Representative Samad
The Prime Minister received MP Jihad Al-Samad, who said after the meeting: He who does not thank people does not thank God, meaning that he who does not have loyalty has no religion. Therefore, my visit today is a visit of appreciation and respect for Prime Minister Mikati, and the most important characteristic of a person who deals with public affairs. That he has the advantage of fairness, so I thank Prime Minister Mikati for all his national and exceptional efforts during the period of presidential vacuum and the Israeli aggression against Lebanon, and he was able to preserve what remained of the state. And legitimacy with very modest capabilities.
