The tribes and people of Baalbek-Hermel confirmed, in a statement, that they are not concerned with the clashes taking place in some villages on the border with neighboring Syria, and that the problems occurring are with individuals and non-sectarian party groups that serve their own commercial interests. .

The statement continued: The tribes and people of the Bekaa have always stressed and confirm that the issue of preserving the borders is the responsibility of the military and security institutions, as we are all under the care and authority of the Lebanese state. Therefore, we are not concerned with the affairs that concern our Syrian brothers, and if there is work and communication, it will be between the competent agencies of both countries, which will ensure the solution of all problems.

He added: We affirm in the Baalbek-Hermel region that the state will be the only one present to maintain security and extend safety, and that there is no operations room for any party except the operations room of the official security services.
