We are close to reaching an agreement on Gaza

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken explained, “We are on the verge of reaching an agreement on Gaza, and this may be achieved in the coming hours, but we have not reached the stage of concluding the agreement.”

He said in a statement today, Wednesday, that “the agreement will lead to a ceasefire and Israel beginning to withdraw its forces, releasing hostages and prisoners, and increasing aid.”

He concluded, “We must negotiate in the first stage to reach a permanent ceasefire, Israel’s withdrawal, and Hamas’ non-return.”
