I can’t help but note his optimism
The president-designate to form the government, Judge Nawaf Salam, visited President Fouad Siniora, as part of his tour of former prime ministers.
Salam said: I thank him for his kind word and for the experience he provided me with, and I can only acknowledge his optimism.
As for President Siniora, he saw the appointment of President Salam as a step towards restructuring constitutional institutions, stressing that Lebanon faces challenges and crises that can only be overcome through national unity.
He stressed that the period requires a firm will, courage in making decisions, and the ability to lead.
