I hope that Salam will be able to form a government as soon as possible
Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati hoped that “President-designate Nawaf Salam would be able to form a government as soon as possible.”
Mikati added after his meeting with Salam: “I applaud the democratic method that occurred through parliamentary consultations and the method of assignment,” stressing that “I have no blame for anyone who did not nominate me for prime minister.”
As for Salam, he said in turn: “The session was short today, and we agreed to meet again, and it was an opportunity to thank him for the efforts he put in the previous stage.”
