If one component breaks, all of Lebanon breaks

President Joseph Aoun explained, “Today we have very great opportunities that we must exploit together. There is no time to waste, and no obstacles must be placed in the way of forming the government.”

Speaking before the delegation of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council, today, Tuesday, he said, “We must send positive messages abroad that Lebanon is capable of governing itself, implementing reconstruction transparently, and building a state that we all call for.”

The President of the Republic stressed that “if a component breaks, all of Lebanon breaks, and what happened yesterday was a democratic process that led to a certain result, and the public interest is the most important.”

He continued, “The Lebanese state and people are responsible for bearing the burden of the conflict with Israel.”
