Al-Sayegh, commenting on Raad’s words: His position is surprising

Member of the Phalange Bloc, MP Dr. Salim Al-Sayegh, said in an intervention on Al-Hadath TV channel, in response to a question about the reason for not choosing Najib Mikati as prime minister-designate to form the government: Despite our love for him, he represents the old era or the old method of managing governments, and he did not introduce any government reforms during his term. In addition to the rejection of a large Lebanese segment of him.

Commenting on the words of the head of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, MP Muhammad Raad, Dr. Al-Sayegh said: I was surprised by the position of the head of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc regarding cutting off the extended hand, as if the man had been deceived by someone or as if someone had turned against a promise made to him, and this is not true.

He added: I was a representative of the Phalange Party in all consultations and discussions, whether in the presidential elections or in parliamentary consultations, and no one promised Hezbollah anything.
He stressed that we were the first to support the nomination of Professor Fouad Makhzoumi to head the government, but the necessities of the battle forced us to move to Dr. Nawaf Salam, keen to win this eligibility and to give the era of President Joseph Aoun all support.
Regarding the Charter, Al-Sayegh said: The issue of the Charter at the forefront of the constitution and customs is the participation of Christians and Muslims in the emergence of authority so that no authority exists that contradicts living together, and within the Great Charter there is the Small Charter, that is, the sectarian distribution between the sects with equality.
