Yoon Suk-yeol calls on his country’s government to support the United States
In a post on the Facebook platform, Yoon Suk-yeol expressed his condolences and regret to those affected by the continued spread of devastating fires in Los Angeles.

“If assistance is needed, I ask the government to provide support and do its best to prevent any harm to our citizens,” the post read.
He added: “The United States is our valuable ally that helped South Korea during its most difficult times, and Los Angeles is home to the largest number of Koreans in the world.”
He concluded by saying: “I sincerely hope that the forest fires will be brought under control and the resulting damage will be repaired quickly.”
