Our road towards Khartoum is now open

After the recovery of the city of Wad Madani, the capital of Al-Jazira State, the Deputy Commander of the Sudanese Army and member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Shams al-Din Kabbashi, stressed that there will be no negotiations after today with the Rapid Support Forces.

He added, today, Sunday, from Wad Madani, that Sudan is strong with its people and its army.

He also continued that the army forces had loosened the reins, and would head from Wad Madani to Khartoum to liberate it, according to his words.

It was also announced that Army Commander Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan will visit Wad Madani upon his arrival from his foreign tour.

He believed that the popular resistance must continue its role in securing cities and helping citizens.

In addition, he considered the restoration of Wad Madani as a token of love for the Sudanese people, directing the need to provide basic services to facilitate the return of the displaced to their homes on the island.

On Saturday, the Sudanese army announced its control of the city of Wad Madani, the capital of Al-Jazira State (central country), which opens the way for it to achieve many military gains, about a year after losing it to the Rapid Support Forces.

His presence in Wad Madani also facilitates his mission to tighten his grip on the capital, Khartoum, which borders it to the south, and expel the Rapid Support Forces from it, according to what observers confirmed.

The second most important city
It is noteworthy that Wad Madani is considered one of the major and important cities in the country, as it is located about 180 kilometers south of the capital, Khartoum.
