Demanding international parties to lift the unilateral and UN sanctions imposed on Syria

The attendees also expressed their concern about Israel’s incursion into the buffer zone with Syria and its neighboring sites in Mount Hermon and Quneitra Governorate, stressing the importance of respecting Syria’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stated that the meeting comes to coordinate efforts to support Syria and seek to lift sanctions on it, welcoming the decision of the United States of America to issue General License 24 regarding exemptions related to sanctions on Syria, calling on international parties to lift the unilateral and international sanctions imposed on Syria, and to begin urgently presenting all aspects Humanitarian and economic support, and in the field of building the capabilities of the Syrian state, which creates the appropriate environment for the return of Syrian refugees, stressing that the continuation of the sanctions imposed on the former Syrian regime will hinder the aspirations of the Syrian people to achieve development, rebuild and achieve Stability, expressing the Kingdom’s appreciation for the countries that announced the provision of humanitarian and development aid to the Syrian people.
