Financed by Russian assets… Europe provides a loan to Ukraine

The European Union has announced the disbursement of a first payment of three billion euros to Ukraine as part of a loan financed by frozen Russian assets in Europe, according to what European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced.

“Today we disbursed three billion euros to Ukraine, the first installment from the European Union under the loan decided upon by the G7,” von der Leyen wrote on her X account. (Sky News)
