Two brothers were arrested in Al-Awza’i and Al-Amrousiyah for carrying out pickpocketing operations
The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: “Within the framework of the daily follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to reduce pickpocketing crimes in various Lebanese regions and arrest those involved in them, data was available to the Information Division about unknown persons carrying out pickpocketing operations in many… Beirut and Mount Lebanon regions.
As a result of extensive investigations and investigations, the Division was able to determine their identities. They are brothers and they claim:

It turned out that the first had a criminal record in cases of car theft, pickpocketing, drugs, bike theft, beating and harm, brandishing a military weapon, stabbing with a knife, bumping, assaulting, cursing and insulting.
On 12-30-2024, after a careful monitoring and control process, the Division’s patrols were able to arrest the first in the Al-Awza’i locality on board a “Get” motorbike, gray in color without seized plates, and at the same time the second was arrested in the Al-Amrousiyah locality on board a “Get” motorbike. “Sweet” silver color without plates was seized, and when they and the two bikes were searched, a sum of money and two cell phones were seized.
During their interrogation, they confessed to what was attributed to them in terms of carrying out many pickpocketing operations in the areas of Beirut and Mount Lebanon, including in Choueifat, Khaldeh Bridge, and Al-Jnah. They also admitted to using drugs.
The legal requirements were carried out against them and they were submitted to the relevant authority based on the reference of the competent judiciary.”
