Lebanon has officially become free of objection.. What did he say about President Aoun’s speech and its translation?

The head of the Lebanese Phalange Party, MP Sami Gemayel, saw that “a new page in Lebanon’s history has been opened,” hoping that “it will be bright and that all countries will stand by Lebanon’s side to revive it.”

Regarding President Joseph Aoun’s speech and its translation, the head of the Phalange Party pointed out that he is “the first president elected after the war in a country liberated from any guardianship, and for this reason his speech is unprecedented in the last 30 years,” adding: “All presidents either came during the time of Syrian guardianship or During a period when “Hezbollah” was in control of the decision and it was forbidden for any president to speak about the interests of his country and for his speech to be as clear as President Aoun’s speech, which is the natural and logical speech that all the Lebanese are waiting for.

He added: “It is a new page that has been opened and Lebanon has officially become free of resistance and able to decide its fate without any guardianship from anyone, and our responsibility is to support all friends of Lebanon and the international community to help and support the President of the Republic to achieve what he has committed to, and we pledge to defend the speech that fully represents us.” We stand by him and make every effort to make this project a success because it is the only salvation for Lebanon.”

He continued: “It is important to us that the ceasefire agreement is implemented, that Israel withdraws from Lebanon, and that the Lebanese army is deployed on all Lebanese territory, as the President of the Republic pledged. I say that a strong feeling of pride came over me while the President delivered his oath of office speech, as if a dream had come true for us.”

Regarding the Syrian file, he explained, “All we aspire to is equal relations based on mutual respect between two countries, and this begins with demarcating the real borders between the Lebanese lands and the Syrian lands, as well as the political ones, so that each country respects the other’s sovereignty and establishes equal and diplomatic relations.”

In response to a question about the relationship with Iran, Gemayel stressed, “We do not want to be hostile to any country, but we categorically reject any country interfering in Lebanon and using our country as a missile platform, as happened with Iran in the past 15 years, turning it into a military base from which fighters launched for defense.” On Bashar al-Assad in the face of his people, after that the support war for which we paid dearly and the destruction that occurred in the south.”

He declared, “We will do our work, and as a Phalange Party, we will be alongside the president to achieve what he promised in his oath speech in his national project.” He said, “We want Arab support to continue by our side, and we thank from the heart all the support and assistance to protect Lebanon from all the atrocities it has been exposed to, and we hope that The Arab world continues alongside us to revive and reconstruct Lebanon and put Lebanon on the path to progress and development.”

At the beginning of his intervention, he thanked the media for “keeping pace with the Lebanese file during all the difficult periods when we needed to convey our voice to the Arab world and Lebanon was under guardianship and its sovereignty, independence, and legitimate institutions were being arrested, which were directly hijacked by Hezbollah and Iran,” hoping that “it will be A new page in the history of Lebanon in which it returns to the Arab embrace and moves towards the development and prosperity led by Prince Mohammed bin Salman in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

Gemayel hoped that “Lebanon will be part of the great renaissance that is taking place in the Arabian Gulf, and we long to set off with a new wheel in Lebanon towards a better future, free from external restrictions and guardianships, from all attempts to prevent Lebanon from rising.”

He pointed out that “it is the first time that it has appeared after decades of suffering, and it is a new page opened in the history of Lebanon, with the hope that it will be bright and that the whole world will be on Lebanon’s side for its revival.”
