In Egypt.. a massive fire devours homes and factories (video)

The fire broke out in waste inside one of the warehouses, before spreading to several neighboring homes and three factories, while Civil Protection evacuated a number of other homes for fear of the fire spreading to them and to preserve the safety of citizens.

In this context, Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber said, “The fire forces are continuing their efforts to control the fire and prevent it from expanding in scope and spreading to other homes,” noting that “it takes a long time to reach the fire site due to the narrow paths between the streets.”

The governor stated that “the continuing flames are due to the nature of the area, with the presence of plastic recycling warehouses and craft workshops.”

Confirming that there are no injuries so far.

Social media users circulated videos and photos of the massive fire, amidst intense smoke and flames.
