In response to Trump’s offer, the Prime Minister of Denmark: Greenland is not for sale
In a decisive response to the US President’s successive offers to buy Greenland, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen responded.
After Trump, whose son is visiting the Arctic island on Tuesday, proposed annexing the region to the United States, Frederiksen confirmed that Greenland belongs to its residents.
She also added that the ice island is not for sale, recalling what Greenland’s Prime Minister Moti Egedy also said previously.
Despite this position, she stressed that the United States remains her country’s closest ally.
These statements came in conjunction with… Donald Trump Jr. said he intends to visit this vast island, which has an area of more than 800,000 square miles. (Arabic)
