We delivered a clear message to the sponsors of the ceasefire and warned against violations
Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati said during the opening of the new building attached to the Beirut Museum building: “We delivered a clear message to the sponsors of the international ceasefire understanding that violations must be stopped and complete withdrawal from the occupied Lebanese territories, and that the commitment to implement 1701 is not only Lebanon’s responsibility, but is binding on “Israeli.”
Mikati added: “He warned us against continuing to violate the ceasefire understanding because it threatens the entire understanding, which is something that I do not think anyone wants to happen.”
He continued: “We were able to overcome the difficulties together and confront all the problems and crises that confront us hand in hand until we rebuild the institutions after electing a new president in next Thursday’s session so that political life can be organized.”
