We may be impatient before the 60 days and eager to elect a president
Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem considered that “in the 2024 aggression, Israel paid a heavy price without being able to advance more than hundreds of meters at the front edge, and this is a deterrent.”
He said: “The enemy was forced to request a ceasefire because of the resistance’s ability, and we agreed through the Lebanese state.”
He stressed, “We faced unprecedented aggression, and we stood firm and broke Israel’s power, and making sacrifices is the way to remain strong, and the resistance will continue.”
He continued: “What happened in the battle of ‘Uli al-Bass’ cut the way for Israel’s hopes in Lebanon.”
Qassem added: “What happened in Syria could have happened in Lebanon, and I believe that in the future the Syrian people will have a role in confronting Israel.”
He pointed out that “resistance is our choice to liberate the land, protect sovereignty, support Palestine, and the right to confront the Israeli expansionist occupation.”
Qassem stressed that “it is the resistance leadership that decides when to resist, how to resist, the method of resistance, and the weapons it uses.”
He stressed that “there is no timetable that determines the performance of the resistance, neither by agreement nor after the end of the 60 days,” stressing that “our patience is linked to our decision about the appropriate timing, and it is the leadership of the resistance that decides when to be patient, when to take the initiative, and when to respond.”
Qassem pointed out that “it is the responsibility of the state, and we are one of them, to follow up with the shepherds to restrain Israel’s hand and implement the agreement.”
He pointed out that “the resistance is strong and its potential exists.”
He said: “Our morale is high despite the wounds and pain, and the important thing is that the project did not fail.”
He continued: “The Battle of the Strong is a new birth for Lebanon that is resistant to the occupation.”
He added: “The Palestinian people are exceptional and steadfast, and they will remain alive with their resistance.”
Qassem said: “Greetings to Yemen, which is poor with its potential, rich in its people, leadership, faith and resilience, and which faces the Israelis and the Americans.”
Regarding the issue of the presidency of the republic, Qassem stressed, “We are keen to elect the president on the basis that the blocs choose him in cooperation in open sessions, and there is no chance for the abolitionists.”
He said: “We are working on the basis of devoting unity and internal cooperation to the advancement of our country.”
