This is how we concluded a ceasefire agreement with Lebanon

Wallah website quoted Major General (Res.) Eliezer Cheney Marom, former commander of the Israeli Navy, in his criticism of the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon.

Marom, who until recently was responsible for the rehabilitation of the north, believed that Israel concluded the agreement in haste.

He added: It seems that the Americans put pressure on us, and we reached an agreement that was not good. The agreement sets timetables for the withdrawal of the Israeli army from Lebanon.

He continued: We had to say that there was already an agreement; United Nations Resolution 1701 stipulates that there is a separation zone between us and Hezbollah, and it does not move south. All we needed to say was that since you have not imposed this decision until today, we will impose it, and anyone who moves south will be dealt with. (Al-Mayadeen)
