It is time to break out of the cycle of differences and narrow interests

The Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Imad Othman, wrote the editorial for the new issue of Security Magazine, hoping for a better tomorrow, which stated: Hope for a better tomorrow..
Events and developments are continuing in our immediate surroundings, with major changes accompanying them. These events often affected our internal arena and were reflected in crises and calamities.

After the country finally emerged from a devastating war on all levels, we see ourselves at a crossroads seeking stability.
The country and its people have suffered many woes throughout its modern history, and their effects are still wounds that have not healed.
The various bets and mortgages were devastating factors on all components of the nation. There were many opportunities that we wasted, knowingly or negligently, and they were real opportunities to achieve stability and advancement.

He added: Today we have an opportunity to walk on the path of salvation and achieve the desired growth. This can only be achieved through the legitimacy of institutions, most notably the Presidency of the Republic, so that the regular functioning of constitutional institutions is restored.
Correct political action requires the real participation of the various components of the nation and acceptance of other opinions.

He continued: It is time to get out of the cycle of differences and narrow interests and look at what is happening in the immediate and distant arenas.
It is time to recognize that the state, with its legitimate institutions and security and military forces, is the only guarantor of security.
It is time to reject the logic of denial and fear of the other, as recent events have shown that togetherness and solidarity were the true picture of reality.
It is time to exploit the changes taking place to build a policy that is in the interest of the nation and its people.
It is time for the convergence of ideas and the convergence of cultures for the sake of a tomorrow full of prosperity and peace.

He concluded: There is great hope for a bright future.
