The Minister of Local Administration and Services in the Syrian caretaker government, Muhammad Muslim, revealed that “through the initial aerial survey of a number of destroyed areas, we recorded a massive amount of destruction in all Syrian governorates, whether in cities, villages, or countryside.”

He added: “We are still in the census phase for all sectors that need reconstruction, and it is worth noting that the fallen regime did not carry out any accurate census of the governorates previously.”

Muslim continued: “We will adopt professional teams specialized in census operations, and we will include them in practical workshops to carry out accurate censuses in all governorates of the various damaged facilities that need reconstruction,” considering that “we seek to establish a clear database on the extent of the destruction, and develop plans and goals that suit it for the next stage.” “.

He pointed out that “priority is given to facilities that provide a decent living environment for our people and facilitate access to basic community services such as bread, water, and electricity.”

He continued: “Our efforts will also focus on rebuilding homes destroyed by bombing and war to provide a safe and dignified return for our displaced people.”
