We do not have a negative attitude towards the army commander
Deputy Chairman of the Lebanese Forces Party, Representative George Adwan, considered that “what happened in the region is like an earthquake, and the opposition parties did not understand what happened, and time stands still, and they are acting as if the recent events had not happened, which will delay the establishment of the state in Lebanon.”
He stressed in an interview with “MTV” that “we must prevent, in politics and democratic means, the continuation of the behavior that was previously, and we will not accept a president who ‘sits on their shoulders and chants for two people’,” pointing out that “the change will affect the president, the government, the ministers, and the parliament.”
He stressed that “we do not have a negative position on the army commander, but rather the Shiite duo and Bassil have a negative position on him.”
Adwan said, “The picture of the next session is completely divided, and what we are seeking as an opposition is the arrival of a president who is ‘conscious of change’ and they do not have a candidate who can obtain 65 votes.”
