We confiscated more than 84 thousand weapons from southern Lebanon
Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee confirmed, “More than 84,000 weapons of various types were confiscated in Hezbollah hideouts in southern Lebanon, most of which were discovered in civilian areas inside, adjacent to, and under homes.”
He continued on the “X” platform, “The message is simple and directed to the residents of Lebanon in its south, its parts, and its depths: Will the Lebanese state allow Iranian mercenaries in Lebanon to attempt to rebuild their military capabilities, or will it prevent that?” We are determined to prevent Hezbollah from arming itself again, building its capabilities, and threatening Israel’s security. During the Northern Arrows campaign, the IDF operated in about 20 villages in southern Lebanon that Hezbollah turned into terrorist strongholds, using civilian areas to store weapons and launch an attack on the State of Israel.
He added, “During the combing work in these villages, weapons depots were found that contained various types of combat means, such as rocket shells and their launchers, through advanced anti-armor missiles and machine guns, all the way to special vehicles that contained various Hezbollah missile launchers, such as Burkan and others.” Stripping Hezbollah of these capabilities is considered an important achievement in striking and weakening Hezbollah.”
