Bin Salman assures the Jordanian king that Saudi Arabia stands with Jordan


Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, made a phone call with Jordanian King Abdullah II.

According to SPA, during the call, the Saudi Crown Prince expressed “the Kingdom’s support for the measures taken by the Jordanian government to preserve Jordan’s security and stability,” stressing “the Kingdom’s support for brotherly Jordan in these circumstances.”

For his part, the King of Jordan expressed “appreciation for the Kingdom’s position in support of Jordan’s security and stability.”

According to Petra Agency, the call covered “the strong historical relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples, and all developments in the region, especially the tragic situation in Gaza.”

Petra added that the Jordanian king expressed to the Saudi Crown Prince “his pride in the level of Jordanian-Saudi relations, and his keenness to consolidate them in all fields.”

The Jordanian King reiterated “the necessity of finding a political horizon for the Palestinian issue based on the two-state solution, which guarantees the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state along the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.” (Arabic)
