He added: “We support the people of Gaza, the West Bank and Palestine, because this is our legal, rational and humanitarian duty. What is happening today in Gaza and Palestine has revealed the falsehood of human rights advocates, the falsehood of those who always spoke of democracy, civilization, and human rights. Where are these people in relation to these massacres? These people have become mute in the face of the Israeli enemy, which does not pay attention to the resolutions of the United Nations or others. This enemy only understands the logic of force, and we are on the lookout for it, supporting and defending our homeland, Lebanon.”

He added: “We are certain that what we are doing is our duty in order to preserve Lebanon’s sovereignty, and Lebanon cannot at these moments be neutral, as advocates of neutrality demand. We saw what Lebanon’s situation was like when the first Israeli invasion took place, and we saw what Lebanon reaped it, and what did our people and the Lebanese reap when Lebanon was neutral?! With the blood of our youth and resistance, we purified the south and liberated Lebanon. The will prevailed and Lebanon triumphed with the strength of its resistance, its people and its army, and the saying that Lebanon’s strength is due to its weakness was destroyed.

Sheikh Yazbek concluded: “Advocates of neutrality want Lebanon to be strong through its weakness so that others can control it, and this will never happen.” We want Lebanon to be a dear, independent, strong country, and to build a state in which the dignity of people is preserved equally, in which no one is oppressed, does not plunder this or that, and does not form boycotts. We want national unity and national interconnectedness that enhances victory, and enhances the economy, social reality, and true partnership. “.
