An Iraqi group claims responsibility for the “Eilat attack”

The Israeli army announced that an air attack targeted the city of Eilat overlooking the Red Sea, Monday, without causing any casualties, while an Iranian-backed armed group in Iraq claimed responsibility for the attack.

An army statement said that a flying object was launched from the eastern direction of Israel and hit a building in Eilat.

The statement did not specify the type of object that was launched towards Eilat. He stated that this launch caused warning sirens to sound, but was not intercepted by Israeli air defenses.
