The Red Cross is preparing to exchange prisoners between Hamas and Israel within hours


Sources said on Wednesday evening that the international Red Cross crews arrived at the “Karam Abu Salem” border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Israel, in preparation for the receipt of the released Palestinian prisoners in the framework of the expected exchange of prisoners.

According to the Prisoners’ Media Office, 620 prisoners will be released in the seventh batch of the first stage of the “Flood of the Liberals” deal, where they will be distributed as follows: 151 prisoners of those sentenced to life and high rulings, including 43 prisoners who will go to the West Bank and Jerusalem, and 97 prisoners will be deported out of the country, in addition to 11 prisoners from Gaza that were arrested before the seventh of October. 445 prisoners of Gaza detainees who were arrested after October will be released, along with 24 prisoners and prisoners of children, with details of the second batch for children and women to be published later.

In the context of the recent negotiations, Israeli Channel 12 revealed that Israel also demanded the receipt of the bodies of foreign prisoners, but there was no agreement in this regard.
