Toyota Motors re -forms its board of directors

The Japanese automobile manufacturer Toyota plans to restructure its board of directors, in what it described as an attempt to attract more diverse views and give greater roles to the auditors.

Toyota said yesterday, Tuesday, that among six appointments, Christopher Reynolds, who is currently the CEO of the company’s operations in North America, said. As a lawyer and a son of a Ford cars worker, he has experience in human resources and risk management.

This increases the number of women in the Board of Directors consisting of 10 people from one woman to two, with the appointment of Kumi Fujisawa, a businesswoman and a chapter of independent business from outside the company, and Herome Osada, a review of previous accounts in Toyota.

George Olcot, a former reference, will also join the Board of Directors.
The number of external members will increase from four to five.
Takanori Azoma, Human Resources Officer in Toyota, said the new council includes auditors for the first time in the history of the company.
It is noteworthy that the internal controls of the company have been scrutinized since its recognition of cheating in testimonies for seven models of cars last year. (Sky News)
