We obtained evidence proving the Ukraine connection to the Moscow attack

The Russian Investigative Committee confirmed on Thursday that the perpetrators of the attack on the Crocus City Hall near Moscow, which left 143 people dead, had “connections to Ukrainian nationalists.”

The committee said that “working with detained terrorists, examining the technical devices confiscated from them, and analyzing information related to financial transactions made it possible to obtain evidence of their links with Ukrainian nationalists.”

She added, “Investigators have information confirming that the perpetrators of the attack received large sums of money and cryptocurrencies from Ukraine, which were used in preparation for this crime.”

The same committee also announced the arrest of another suspect involved in financing the “terrorists” who carried out the attack, adding, “We will ask the court to detain him in custody.”

Ukraine categorically denies any connection to the bloodiest attacks in Russia in 20 years.

For its part, the White House said on Thursday: “It is clear that ISIS is solely responsible for the Moscow concert hall attack.”

John Kirby, spokesman for the White House National Security Council, said during a briefing with reporters that Washington had conveyed a written warning to Russian security services of an attack by extremists.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack via Telegram, saying that its fighters “attacked a large gathering on the outskirts of the Russian capital, Moscow.” (Sky News Arabia)
