The Gaza truce is not guaranteed.. What about compensation?

It was stated in “Electronic News”:

All indications that a truce is close to being reached in Gaza are still far-fetched, due to the rigid and unenforceable positions put forward by the Israeli side and rejected by Hamas, because Israel, according to what was leaked about the atmosphere of the negotiations, wants to get everything without giving any guarantees to the Palestinians.

Accordingly, informed sources via the electronic newspaper Al-Anbaa ruled out the possibility of reaching a truce in the coming weeks, because Israel does not want to stop the war before implementing its plan to expel displaced Palestinians from Rafah to Sinai, and it will not yield to American and international pressure demanding their return to Gaza, as Hamas requires. In exchange for the release of the Israeli hostages.

In the opinion of the sources, the situation in southern Lebanon will remain in a state of balanced tension between Hezbollah and Israel, according to the rhythm drawn by the American envoy Amos Hockstein in his recent visit to both Lebanon and Israel.

Meanwhile, debate has come to the fore about the extent of the damage in the villages of the south, and the mechanism that will be adopted to compensate the affected families. What was noteworthy was the statement of caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati about the state’s lack of capabilities.

Former MP Ali Darwish indicated in an interview with the electronic newspaper “Al-Anbaa” a serious desire on the part of President Mikati to help those displaced from the villages from which they were displaced as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon, citing the Prime Minister’s readiness to help them, but it is difficult to erase the damage as the war continues.

Regarding the sources of funding for this aid, he explained that it may be secured through contributions, aid, through the budget, or from outside it. This aid is noted by the government for the displaced people of the South, and it is in-kind aid, and there is a promise for that. It is likely that implementation will take place immediately after the war ends and there will be a long truce.

Pending the achievement of this expected truce, the efforts of sincere forces concerned for the country must be combined to achieve the entitlements, most important of which is the election of a president and not link this entitlement to field developments and the politics of regional and international axes.
