After Ocalan’s call to dissolve the PKK … the first Turkish official response

The ruling “Justice and Development” party in Türkiye expected that the “Kurdistan Workers Party” would comply with the invitation of its imprisoned leader Abdullah Agolan, to dissolve himself and put arms.

The deputy head of the Justice and Development Party, Afkan Alaa, said today that the Turkish government expects the PKK to comply with the invitation of Ocalan, adding: “You will be free from restrictions” if the “Kurdistan workers” threw arms and dissolve itself.

Ocalan had invited his party to throw arms and dissolve himself, and called through a statement by representatives of the People’s Democracy Party, who visited him in his prison on the island of Marmara, all armed groups to throw arms, saying that he bears “historical responsibility for that.” (Arm News)
