To reduce prices… Sisi issues an order to the government

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi asked the government to implement an initiative to reduce prices in the country against the backdrop of the significant rise witnessed in the most important commodities in Egypt.

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, at the request of President Sisi, held an expanded meeting at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, with major manufacturers, producers and suppliers of food commodities, engineering goods and electronics, and representatives of major commercial chains.

In this context, Madbouly directed the necessity of reaching retailers who deal directly with the consumer, and the necessity of having a mechanism to reduce prices in all outlets and shops, as they often intend to keep the price high despite its decline in the wholesale market.

He stressed that the state’s role in the current period requires that citizens feel the positive measures being taken.
