For the first time in 10 years, unemployment is declining in Türkiye

The unemployment rate in Turkey recorded its lowest level in the last 10 years, after falling to 9.4% during the past year 2023. This came according to data published by the Turkish Statistics Authority, today, Monday, regarding unemployment figures in the country for the past year. The figures show that unemployment decreased from 10.4% during the year 2022, while it recorded 8.9% in 2013. Figures published by the Statistical Authority showed that the number of unemployed people decreased in 2023 by 318 thousand people compared to 2022, and last year it reached 3 million and 264 thousand people.
