A second ship of UAE aid arrives at the port of Beirut

The second UAE aid ship arrived at the port of Beirut, carrying 3,000 tons of various relief materials as part of the national campaign, “The UAE is with you, Lebanon.”

The Emirates News Agency said that this comes in implementation of the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, the follow-up of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, and the supervision of Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister. Head of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, Chairman of the International Humanitarian Affairs Council.


The ship was received by Dr. Nasser Yassin, Head of Government Emergency and Minister of Environment, accompanied by Brigadier General Bassem Nabulsi, Head of the Supreme Relief Commission. The UAE relief aid included various types of food supplies, special supplies for children and women, and various equipment for the winter, in addition to shelter supplies.

In this regard, Sultan Mohammed Saeed Al Shamsi, Vice President of the Emirates International Aid Agency, affirmed the moral and international commitment of the UAE towards the urgent response to relief the Lebanese brothers affected by the current crisis, based on the immortal humanitarian legacy of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in extending a helping hand and providing assistance. And standing with the afflicted, wounded and injured in the face of wars, conflicts, disasters and crises.

He touched on the immediate UAE response to the brotherly Lebanese people since the beginning of the current crisis, a translation of the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, to ensure early recovery and mitigate the repercussions and effects of the crisis on all those affected from different segments and groups, in coordination with Lebanese government agencies and relevant international organizations.
