He asked “Minister of Labor in the caretaker government, Mustafa Bayram, to cling to a position supportive of the rights of the 450,000 workers affiliated with the National Social Security Fund through a firm, humanitarian and social labor union stance in which he clarifies what happened in the Council of Ministers and confirms the decree that has received the approval of the State Shura Council and its readiness.” “To keep up with the correction that leads to the desired result.”
“Prime Minister Najib Mikati called for immediate initiative to correct these defects, in order to establish the principle of justice and equality between employees and workers in the private sector, and to support the National Social Security Fund, which provides health care for more than a third of the Lebanese people.”
He indicated that he “will continue his escalatory steps, leading to a sit-in and strike if he does not get the required response to provide relief to the working class in this difficult economic stage that Lebanon is experiencing.”
