The rain is returning today… and Father Elie Khneisser reveals an unexpected surprise about the weather on this date

The weather specialist, Father Elie Khneisser, published his report on the weather in Lebanon, which stated:

“A highly effective depression accompanied by heavy rains, lightning bolts, and hailstones will hit southern Syria and eastern Jordan today, Sunday, and will affect Lebanon in a state of instability, starting in the afternoon hours, with local rain falling in the Bekaa and the western mountains as a first degree, and then the coast with light thunderstorms. The effect of the passing rains will remain, during Monday and Tuesday, and randomly, until a warm, dusty desert wave expands from Libya and Egypt towards the Middle East, and temperatures rise by about 25 degrees on the coast on Thursday. The temperature for Sunday on the coast is 18, in the Bekaa is 14, and in the mountains it is 15.

As for the Estimates Department at the Meteorological Department, it expected the weather tomorrow, Monday, to be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with fog on the highlands, and stable temperatures on the coast while falling on the highlands and inland. Light and scattered rain will fall with active winds that will intensify in the northern regions, reaching sometimes 65 km/h.
The bulletin stated the following:

– General situation: Volatile weather dominates Lebanon and the eastern basin of the Mediterranean, with temperatures below their seasonal averages and scattered rain until Tuesday morning, when it turns stable with a gradual rise in temperatures exceeding their seasonal averages.
Note: Average temperatures for the month of March in Beirut are between 13 and 22 degrees, in Tripoli between 11 and 20 degrees, and in Zahle between 6 and 17 degrees.

– Expected weather in Lebanon:

today:

Partly cloudy with high clouds, with fog on the highlands, and a slight rise in temperatures, especially in the interior and mountainous areas, which remain below their seasonal averages. Clouds thicken in the afternoon and the weather becomes ready for scattered rain, especially in the interior regions.

Monday:

Partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with fog on the highlands, and stable temperatures on the coast while falling on the highlands and inland. Light and scattered rain will fall with active winds that intensify in the northern regions, sometimes reaching 65 km/h.

Tuesday:

Few to partly cloudy clouds, with temperatures rising as they reach their seasonal levels. Humidity also decreases, and winds remain active, sometimes reaching up to 75 km/h in the northern regions.

Wednesday:

Partly cloudy with high clouds, with an additional and noticeable rise in temperatures, exceeding their seasonal rates, and an additional decrease in humidity, while winds remain active in the northern regions.

– Expected temperatures: from 9 to 20 degrees, above the mountains from 5 to 14 degrees, inland from 5 to 16 degrees.
– Surface winds: southwesterly to northwesterly, speeds between 15 and 40 km/h.

Visibility: Good on the coast, sometimes worse on the highlands due to fog.

– Relative humidity on the coast: between 60% and 85%

– Sea condition: average wave height. Water surface temperature: 18°C.

– Atmospheric pressure: 758 mm Hg.
